Hi guys
Here's a photo of my '83 Chevrolet Commodore 3.8L. It's got the GM 230cu. in. straight six motor and 350 Turbo Hydramatic box in the same Opel body as your Holden VB series.
woah i didnt know they existed i knew bout opel commodores and reckords and stuff but not a chev commodore! i guess you learn something everyday. i wish mine had a 230ci might have a little more poke over the 202. looks clean man
More pictures pleaseI would have thought these were by Holden since Holden have been sending cars to South Africa for a long long time. But it it's got a Chev 6 in it,well that's just weird
You could get these as either manual or auto with either the 230 or the 250cu.in. motor. I read a road test of the 4.1 auto the other day, and they say that it really hauled ass!
You could have these cars as Chev Rekords, with Opel 1900 or 2300 (not sure whether Chev or Opel) 4 cyl motors, as Chev Commodores with the 230 or 250 cu.in. Chev sixes or as a Chev Senator with the 250 motor and auto box. I'm sorry we didn't get the V8's! You don't perhaps know what motor the small V8 was? Was it an internally shrunk version of the 308?
250Ci six!!!! that would be crazyi could have lotsa fun in one of those puppies
"i just want one
"
Just saw this in a google sesh at school.
Pretty cool. A 230 straight six with a turbo 350........why didn't we get these!Want one for my WB.

Here on this page are more pictures of South African, German and English Commodore.
The page is only available in German, but you can use Google translate fine.
Senatorman
You can also all "siblings" of Commodore see, Monza, Senator, and Rekord.
The Commodore and the Rekord are almost identical, only the Rekord had a 6 cm shorter front and only 4-cylinder engines.
Both were in Germany from August 1977 were built.
If you want informations about the German Version of Commodore and the Siblings-models, ask me
Some interesting pics there mate. Cheers.
