Default My VC

This is my 80 VC that I inherited this year off my mate who passed away.
The car has enormous sentimental value to me.
When my mate owned it he was thinking of doing a 2JZ-GTE conversion to it.
I was trying to convince him to do a RB26DETT or a 20BT.
Unfortunately he passed on before he could complete it.
At the moment the engine is stock.
Full Pedders suspension thats lowered about 2" and a Whiteline strut brace.
The car was restored 4 yrs ago now and has a full blue SL/E interior and the glovebox is signed by Brocky.
I have a full Garret Strata kit with TO4 42mm wastegate and a turbo grind cam (unknown specs) that i was thinking of putting on.
I think though that a 308 would make the power easier and use less fuel.
I would love to power it the way he wanted but funnily enough the cost is too much.

Hi,Sorry to hear about your mate.I know how hard it is to carry on some one's last wishes.Last year the same thing happend to my mate as well. His wish was to finish his wb 454 ute.We decided to do a run along the great ocean rd to pay our respects to him,out off all his family and his girl friends family, and all his mates and probally a handful of work mates, there were 52 cars all up,with over 130 people. We spent the weekend in apollo bay camping and just getting togather.Towards the end of the weekend we told every one about pauls last wishes.every body was more than happy to throw in a couple of bucks to help get this car finished. We ended up with over $5,000 dollars to get things started, and as it progressed people and family were throwing more money at at ,until it was finished(it took 8 months)to complete. We then went for another drive along great ocean rd his girlfriend drove the WB to scatter his ashes in appolo bay..Cheers Brad.
