Green Vb 202
This is my first car. Mum and Dad bought for me. It had a reconditioned motor about 2.5 years ago and a 2 1/5" exhaust and came with a complete (almost) recovered VK Calais interior. So over the next year and a half or so me and Dad stripped the inside out and put in the Calais interior and Dad gave the body a full respray. But i never took any progress shots.
Model:VB Commodore SL
Colour: Resprayed Sage Green
Bodykit: No Thanks (Classic Not Plastic)
Engine Type: Reco Red 202
Exhaust: Pacemakers into a 2 1/5 inch system
Gearbox: Trimatic
Diff: Stock
Brakes: Stock (Disk Front Drum Rear)
Suspension: 1 1/5 inch Lowered Springs
Interior: Recovered VK Calais
Other Mods: Fully Sik Stainless Exhaust Tip
Stereo: Pioneer CD HU and Fusion 6 inches on shelf
Build Period: About a Year and a Half and Still Going

Looks like a good job on the old VB. - One of the first things I did with my VB was to add the extra 2 gauges and paint the silver cluster cover flat black. Hated the bright silver bit.

Yeah, looks mint. Love it.
One thing, any issues trying to get a RW/Rego with a red motor in it? I thought older motors were illegal on newer cars?

Red motors are standard in VB commodores, they changed to blue motors in the VC, and black motors in the VK.
p.s Lovely car, i have a VC SL/e V8... Good to see there are still good Vb-vk cars out there.

Thanks guys its good to see some people actually still like early model commodores all my mates reckon i sould get a R31 Nissan Skyline or something like that and i was considering getting one of those but i eventualy decided against it because of all the work i put into it.
Also do any of you guys know of any cheap or 2nd hand LPG systems for my car in SA because i dont really wana have to fork out up to 60-80 buxs a week for petrol

Gas is for BBQs
Car looks tuff as it is. Maybe add some SL/E bumber sides, VK front indicators, and VL Mirrors.
Also for the other guys, SA doesn't need RWC, so it wouldn't matter about the motor.

VK front indicators won't fit the standard VB headlights Stealthy, unless you change the whole front end to a VH.

Oh ohk, i've heard of people with VHs doing it, i thought the headlights were the same VB-VK.
Are they angled differently or something?
