1984 Vh-SLE
Hi guys new to this forum so i thought i would post some pics up of my 84 VH SLE. Has a warmed up 308, crane 286 cam, extractors, modified quaddy, edelbrock performer manifold,yella terra roller rockers,twin thermo fans,slightly ported and polished heads, rebuilt trimatic with shift kit and 2500 stall converter, 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust amongst a few other things and i just had a BW 3.45 LSD put in it.
I am in the process of cleaning up my engine bay by removing any unnecessary stuff eg, aircon etc
This is a weekend car and a ongoing project am toying with the idea of stroking it to a 355. Hope you all like

the germans designed it, the aussies built it, the japs got it moving and the wogs got it dosing...
A few years ago i ripped out all the interior which was already pretty good and put in new carpet,underlay and seat belts and generally gave her a thorough clean

Some more pictures, if you can see it in the picture i had the center console re trimmed in blue velour turned out pretty good i think (P.S if you are wondering why there is a paper in the car it was for my car insurance, they wanted proof that the photos were current lol)

Thanks mate seats are original and in perfect condition as is the roof lining the only thing i have done is put new carpet in and retrimmed the center console in velour. I have some other pictures i want to post but it wont let me do it, once you exceed your down loads is that it? or can they be reset any suggestions would be much appreciated

Hi guys just an update on what plans i have for the SLE, have decided to go the 355 stroker (COME) and get some work on my existing heads gonna put a bit of a dent in the old bank balance but you only live once i say lol !! will put some pics up when work is under way
im a fan of the vh sle's and youve got a very nice example of one. i used to have an slx which i did up as an sle-lookalike, but it was a 6. good luck with it.

Nice old SLE Not long now and they will start to be Classics
so have you got the engine in yet.
Yeah engine is in just getting the rewiring finished will be up and running tomorrow hopefully test drive on friday and back home early next week, cant wait to do some crusin !

Thanks very much. Engine is all done we started it the other day sounds awesome really tough just needs to be tuned to get fuel/air ratio spot one and hopefully will have her home next week and coming to a cruise in melbourne very soon
