A few pictures of my cars. The VC is my daily drive. The standard 202 and trimatic are almost stock except for a mild cam. The paint is completely shagged, but the body is fairly straight, and there isn't much rust. Its my first car(except for the corolla paddock basher you can see in the pictures). Bought it from my cousin for $400. I know who owned since it was new and its always been a lady's car.
The VK is my project car. Scored it on eBay a couple of weeks ago, for $281. Absolute bargain. The paint is a bit faded, but the body seems perfect and there's no rust. Aussie 4 speed, and carby 202. Apparently there was or is water in the 5th cylinder, and so it only runs on five cylinders. Still goes well though. The plan is for a respray, and I have an efi 202 to put in it after I rebuild it, and hot it up a bit. Then maybe a turbo or supercharger when i get off my P's.
Then once the VK is on the road, I'll pull the VC off the road and do a full resto.
The VK and VC are my favorites from the first generation of commodores, so its nice to have one of each.
Can any tell what colour the vk is? It looks like tiger mica to me, but i though that didn't come along till the vt's.
Cheers
the colour will be on a plaque in the engine bay. it will have 'paint' then a code, like LM or P5 for example. tha is the colour code. take that to a paint shop ask them to research it for ya. they will put the code into the computer and it will tell them the name, paint formula, everthing.
If it aint broke, dont fix it.
