First time poster, long time listener...
Hey guys,
I know how much we like to keep tabs on big build ups (at least I do), so i'll throw mine up for all to see.
All comments and recommendations welcome.
The pics show how I bought it, unfortunately it's riddled with cancer, and has since been stripped in preparation for a donor.
nice efi 5.0 and manual and a sunroof mmm and areos nice....
what are the plans for it????
Yeh the conversion was done really well in it, everything is where it should be but some numpty has done a home job alarm and immobilizer, and there is wires and **** everywhere. Sucks.
Plans: Sleeper, but neat cruiser. I'm currently smoothing the engine bay of the donor - an immaculate but tired SL 202 auto, and tossing up colours. I decided long ago the chrome strips around the windows are going black, which kind of rules out painting the rest of the car black. I guess my preferred options are alpine white or panorama silver. One of those long term things I guess...
Here's what the shed is looking like at the moment -
id keep it the silver/silver colour but then alpine whit calais look nice too
im soon starting the efi v8 conversion in my sle so ill proberly be talking to you later and asking for pics of some stuff if thats alright
By all means, i've certainly sucked enough info out of these forums the least I can do is give some back.
Yes, the more I think about it silver is the way to go, I think I could only do white if I had the white Aero's.
haha nah white on white looks bad as my wheels are white aswell on my white sle..
but u could get urs powder coated
Could, but prefer not to as they are genuine HDTs. I thought yours look alright, but I reckon those white Momo Stars look sh!t hot on just about anything. Here's a great example:

Sorry guys, have been sidelined for a few weeks after surgery.
Currently re-wiring the engine loom into the original loom. Planning to move fuse box to boot.
Rewiring...
Nice Calais Switch 304. I'm sure you're getting alot of power out of that 5.0L efi!
I've only driven it once, that was when I picked it up. But when I did I had a smile from ear to ear, I can give you the tip.
My current daily driver is a Ford EF 5.0L (I know I know) and although a fairly quick car, the Calais would eat it for breakfast. Even with a 2.60:1 diff, it's a quick mover.
