My Two VH SL/E's

Ok my fist one is a one owner car that i Got from my Dads friends which past away shortly I took ownership of. Before this I would hassle him to give me the car and the answer would always be............In your dreams! When he got really sick from cancer he pulled me aside and said Do you want the car I'll give you first option. I said well you don't have to say it twice and bought this one owner SL/E which is original down to the nuts and bolts of it. With just 75000 on the clock plus books and only the sunroof option missing from the option list this SL/E is simply amazing. I haven't taken photos of it but this is the only one my dads friend took when he had it.



The only thing I have done was change the plates over to the original ones it came out with and I just finished cleaning the whole chassis. this is one car i will never modify.

Next is one i got off a friend that was moving to Perth and it was going to cost him a small fortune to get it over so again like the first SL/E gave me the option to buy it and i did. It needs work so I thought why do a have job and just give it a resto. the car is 90% complete with all the rare parts on it which is a bonus plus doubles of some parts aswell. This will be a mild street but still retain it's factory looks.

What it looks like now.



Plans for this one is a full body, running gear (mild), and interior resto. engine bay will get a smooth out and trim will look standard but it will have a few custom things done to it. The 253 will get a warm over and a nice converter and shift kit through the auto. 19x9.5 and 19x8.5 FR19's are waiting to fill the guards of the SL/E and some big HSV brakes to make it stop.

Nice. Must be pretty cool to have two VH SLEs..........and both V8 and similar colours.

Yeah my dad and i had SL/E's years ago. Dad owned his sice new for 21 years with 160K on the clock and I had mine for 10 years until we both sold up and bought my SS ute and his Clubsport R8. I missed them so much I had to buy another one well two! lol! dada wasn't impressed but he eventually came around and helps me with the Project Car and he also misses his SL/E but doesn't want to show that he does. But Yeah I'm lucky to have two of them.
