Default My VH, 19s, Custom interior in the making

    Hey JC!

Been referred here by a friend of mine - Pauly (Vnexecutive) who has told me this would be a good forum to chuck up my H.

Bought her about 6 months ago with 253, Duel Fuel, Lowered over VXSS 17s

She now sits with her interior completly stripped out, all petrol acessories removed (as going straight gas) fuel tank removed etc etc, towbar removed. On Milanni 19s with 235/35 rubber.

Basically i've lost alot of motivation on this interior and i'm sick of it sitting in my backyard, I want to drive it.

So guys help me get back on the road and get this thing finished.

So far for the interior I have.

Black retrimmed VL seats in Leatherette

Vinyl dyed door trims with billet window winder handles

    Knox Auto fitted black carpet

Black leather gear shifter and handbrake boots

    Momo black/chrome steering wheel

    New remake, interior light

    Billet rear vision mirror

    What I need -

Gauges for the dash - Got fuel only

    A Headunit

    Parcel shelf to be retrimmed

    Black headlining

    Finish painting some interior plastics

So help me get motivated and get the beast cruising again

Whilst the car is neither, she's dark blue.

    Thanks for the comment

Mate... top example of a VH you've got there...

Hurry up and get it on the road, she deserves to be driven!
Those wheels really set it off too,

And you could always give me some tips on retrimming the interior!! really need to look at the VH sitting out the front some time soon!

Haha, dont know where your from, but around here, the cops probly wouldnt batter an eyelid at you driving that, its got a clean paint job, well looked after, (as long as you werent being a tool in it) some would probly want a look at it...

I had 20'' wheels on my VH for 3 months, very low - tyre to gaurd, sat pretty high off the ground but, in patchy primer - black - and red, fully shaved, and never got pulled over, or looked at twice, driving sensibly..

I can see what you're saying, but wouldnt expect this car to be in that category...

EDIT: as long as the wheel diameter isnt out by much, I think 10-20mm?? 99% sure its still legal, in NSW,

Ouch... That sucks hard.. lol, Should check that out, see if it is defectable? I have had 20's on my VY for almost three years, no probs...

Whats the law where you are?
    2inches bigger than stock?
    similar rolling diameter?
    anything other than stock, lol..

This is what i'll be doing, tossing up between vinyl and velour, did you install it yourself? If so was it hard? Or did you get a professional to do it, and was it expensive? Sorry for all the responses but i've been dreading the headlining.

Cheers for the compliments again Zeussy, I try to keep her clean and I wouldn't be a tool in this, I like it too damn much to become a wreck.

    Loving your VH BTW.

Haha, its all good, agree with you there,
older cars = harder to find a good one = dont want to smash a good one!

Thanks mate, its got a long way to go, thinking of scrapping the paint job, and starting over in a different colour.. in 2 pac, its only acrylic, and it chips up real easy,

    Ahh ok, damn acrylic.

2pac will be much better and with a new paint job your vh will be looking a million bucks.

I want to do your fuel filler and spare tyre modifications down the line sometime, they really make the car look smoother.

No such thing as too smooth, I love the look you've got going. Color wise, if your panels are dead straight you can't beat a VH in black but I've seen some really nice ones lately in bright colors.

Whatever you choose I'm sure it will look scmick without any handles and fillers to break up the color.

Thanks mate, I've done my share of poor modifications to commodores in the past and its time to do one right lol.

Got one door trim on today, looks nice with the billet handle

Here's a video of the trim and a small exhaust clip, just idle.
