i own a VC Commodore and have been given a VL (only good for parts) can any parts be used on VC even if i change some casings etc like starter motor, gearbox anything else. not really interested in swapping motors though to much hassle changing looms and stuff .... any help is appreciated

Motor/gear box wise they are completly different, starter motor is different. Im not sure on the other accesories, which MAY be a possibility like Alternator, I've never bothered to look at an RB30 engine to closely.

Oh we are talking 6cyl's and not V8s?
