Just put a VN crossmember and rack in my VK for an LS1 conversion i'm working on, just woundering what steering universal shaft to use to link the VK columb to the VN rack as the VK one is to short and the VN has the wrong type of coupling at the columb end.
Did you try a VL one?
No but someone else has told me VL might be the go, so will have to look into it.
Other wise may have to swap the upper universal yokes between VK & VN, bit of a mission though as the uni end caps are peened.
No need to. If using a VN power steering rack then use the VL power steering intermediate shaft. Non power uses non power shaft. Its a straight fit.

speaking of crossmembers is there a difference between a vk v8 and 6cyl crossmember
yes the pedistal that takes the engine mounts is taller on the V8 crossmember
