mine was on gas. i took it off. hate gas. dont care that it is cheaper. i enjoy boot space. lpg tanks take up valuable woofer room. along with a bunch of other annoying things.

if its a quaddy be prepared to replace the gaskets, accelerator pump diaphram and secondary hanger cam every so often as they melt.

other than that i have heard a bunch of power can be made on gas because it has the ability to run on a 12.5;1 comp ratio without pinging. which would be fun.

Runnin me bro's GQ on gas. It runs waaay better on gas then petrol, even accelerates harder. Got the tank underneath so ya don't loose any boot space.

Ive driven a 5.0 on gas and petrol, didnt actually notice any difference at all. I had to check the LPG gauge to make sure which fuel i was using! I had my mild 308 (cam, bore, flat tops) on LPG. Didnt like it on that, the LPG was set up for dual fuel and leaned out too easy in high power situations. Also mainly cause the gas wasnt tuned accurately and needed a service hahaha.

heh. try and put one under a vk calais...

ok, so one example would be this; i had 6's (spark plugs) in my beast cos' it was on gas. anyway i forgot that they were 6's and carried on modifying the rest of the engine. i failed hopelessly on a dyno and in my re-doing things, went and replaced my 15 dollars each NGK iridium 6's with 2 dollars each ngk copper 5's and the car rans HEAPS better.

ya just cant tune for gas AND fuel. its one or the other.

sorry not trying to start a thread war.

    love

piss the dual fuel set up off and run an impco 425 on a Holley 650 throttleplate... you'll love it over a dual fuel set up anyday... only drawback is it leans out after 5000rpm

Mine runs on gas too, 80 ltr tank as far back in the boot as possible feeding a varajet 2 carb, i don,t care about boot space..if i need to take some stuff around i rather take my Olds full size wagon (also gas, under the floor).
Only i put in some Bosch super 4 plugs..they have 4 electrodes around the center one ,so there is a open spark making starting easy and picking up engine speed at low ref,s a lot better.
Further i set ignition timing some degrees more advanced than standard, on high octane fuel it start,s pinging on heavy load now..but on gas it,s perfect!, also enriched idle mixture somewhat..i drives great , does 800 km on one tank..
Fuel does great for me...for cleaning engine parts...and for making a fire in my gardenstove..
