power steering differences

Can anyone tell what the differences are between the VB etc and VK power steering setup. Is it just the mounting hole position on the rack or is it something else?

There are different casting numbers on the racks that mean alternate mounting points.

I dontthink there is any difference between power steer racks between VB-VK after the VK they change but VB-VK us the same K Frame & rack.

no difference at all. just fitted vb rack to my vh. direct swap. speaking of, any one know where i can find an intermediate shaft to connect it to the column? all wreckers down here reckon the cars to old...

APS reckon there are 2 different rack/mountpoints, VB-VH(early) (Cast number:9945911) and alternate VH(late)-VK (Cast number:92014737).
