hey got a vk calais 5l i wanna put original wheels back on with rear tyres being as wide as i can go and having a big profile anyone know how big i can go and still fit in the tubs without scraping or without tubbing the car?
yeah, they go pretty wide on the rear, i believe 235-245, however you will need 8 inch rims to fit those tyres.
max the stock rims can take is 225 but they look ridiculous because they stick out over the rim. you can get steel wheels widened for $175 per rim, but if you have alloy there is not much option. if you find someone who can widen an alloy please let me know cos' i have been looking for a while now.
i love the stock look but my current 205's are just not gettin' grip and i am not going 225's cos they look stupid on these rims.
nah i want the tyres stick over on the rear with a big profile and 205's on the front
