most of the time when an early commodore has a duel exhaust they run a fuel cell in the boot.

In a car on straight gas you can do it. I got quoted $400 for a twin 2.5" mild steel exhaust, from headers back. That was from Bill at flexifit exhausts in Hoppers Crossing, VIC - but ask around locally.

there are provisions for dual exhaust in your floor pan, but the tank sits over the top of the drivers side. there was a certain model of VB-VK that came with dualies standard, so if you can find one of those then take the tank from it and fitting the ex is easy.

failing that you can always run dual pipes side by side and have your h-pipe where the current 'y' piece is.

i got quoted 400 bucks for a alloy drop tank to fit in where the current tank is, but the guy disappeared off the face of the earth before i could get him to make it.

if you find a way of running dual without touching the tank pls post back cos' i reall want dualies as well

This is totally wrong. All VB-VK had standard same fuel tanks, 63 litres. Non what so ever came out with the spot for twin pipes out the back.

Cars with twin zorst had the tip on the left hand side only.

The only way to run 2 pipes out the back is a fuel cell in the boot.

you cant do it bro. the tank stuffs it all up. onely way is to have dualies out the same side as i mentioned earlier.

even if you did run one pipe under your tank, you really want your exhaust that close to the fuel????

Obviously if we have been saying GET A FUEL CELL they make them small enough to fit between twin pipes. you cut out part of your boot floor pan and they come up into the boot area.
The car will need to be engineered to pass road worthy with a fuel cell so talk to your local auto engineer about ADR requirements and what he wants done.

    cheers

Be a waste of time if you want a fuel cell under the car, be way to small.

There were some models that came with the dual exhaust from factory, but they exited out the LHS.

And Mr Plod or RTA officer will give you a nice sticker doing that. They have to exit out the back of the car, not at the diff.
