will fit straight in, true, salsbury diffs are crap but good enough to get the car going till you find something else
will fit straight in 10 bolt are good diffs not the best but still strong some people dont know what there talking about
yeh they are the best with their 25 spline axle, they are crap, and try find gears for them
10 bolts are actually 28 spline buddy the only difference between vlt diffs and 10 bolts is that vlt have 4 spider gears where 10 bolts have 2 so yeh there not shit
Keep the 253!! Personal opinion aside you can get the wipers new from rarespares ( i think anyway ) either that or try ebay or Holden wreckers.
We got rep back, yaaay!
yeh but the large salisbury's are actually 10 bolt

My point exactly, if you give info get the facts, some people come here to get GOOD and CORRECT info coz they want to spend hard earned money and do things the right way the first time, if you dont know, spend more time asking or reading and less time guessing.
no need to drill the guy out!!!! we all human and make mistakes we give advice to the best of our knowledge and from our own experience .... and its up to the individual who asking the question to further investigate if they doubt the answer.we are on here to help out one another and have one common passion thats it commodores.now ill get of me soapbox lol

yeh well still dosent defeat the fact that 10 bolts are good diffs but if your looking to get a really good diff the first time go vlt or 9 inch
yeh fair enough, its getting harder to get parts for the salisbury's thats all, gears and stuff, thats one reason I dont like them, that and I dont beleive they are all that tgood and strong from my experirnce, now when you say 9", we are definately on the same page here, thats a diff worth putting some dollars into.
yeh around $3000 hey?
yeh, could prob find something cheaper but general rule with cars seems to be more $, is for more power and strength, like anything in the world I guess, just with cars it always ends up being 'why settle for this when I can wait and get that for a bit extra'. its all fun either way, sometimes you have to settle coz the $$$ just isn't there.
yeh its like thats better and abit extra aww but that over there is only little bit more ill just get that then a week later you could have bought something better for less
What your saying is right about the 10 bolt they are getting harder to get parts for but if its only a mild 308 it should hold up fairly well, but when your talking 9" its really weighing up what your going to do with the car and how much power it will be putting out because a good bw setup will cop a fair bit of abuse without the added weight a nine inch carries.
Good luck with the head light wipers but. you can get new heads for them thats no problem you can also find good arms but you when your looking make sure the plastic clip that hold the head on are good because them you cant get and are extremely difficult to remove from bent or broken arms without breaking them.
yeh true but where just discussing what the best to use
yes but a nine inch is not always the best option.
true but it is in most cases
