Well I've been hunting around for some 16x7 Black Chase Rims for the VK, the VZ 1 ton ute ones are impossible to find and I can't locate any VE machined ones in Adelaide. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Why don't you buy new ones and get them machined? Wheel worx would know where to get them done ( if they can't do it. )
We got rep back, yaaay!
get em powder coated 60 a rim
Wat about doing them urself? We had some 17" VE space savers....dremeled them out and they fit up no worries. Prolly be better to get them machined tho.![]()

Yeah I had thought about that but I would prefer to get them done in a shop. I may have found a place, waiting for a callback. ROH industries reckon that the VE rims are made in china and are a thinner gauge steel than the older (Oz) VB-VZ rims. Apparently when the police assessed the new VE it was reported the rims do buckle easier (over pot holes, etc) than the older models. I wonder if there are a different gauge steel between the black and silver rims?
good q i didnt know what you were talkin about when you said machined adelaide wheel and rim does it there pretty cheap to i hear

I'll give them a call, thanks chaps. I have seen some VE commodore tray tops around, I might see if the rims they use are rated heavier than the sedan ones.
This might be a little off topic for what you're looking for but I have stock BMW rims on my VT. They are alloy and black. Also about half the weight of the steel ones but look the same. Just a little thicker (obvoiusly). Could this be an option for you Philbio? At least you might be able to expand your eBay search!
