VH Power Assisted Steering

Hi guys/gals

My mate has a 1983 vh sl, with a blue 173 motor(2.85) and was wondering if you could put Power Assisted Steering(PAS) in the vh?

Any info would be great.

Yes you can put it on pretty well any car
get a rack, belt, maybe a different pully, pump & brackets, hoses & coupling from the steering column to the rack and your in business.

you could get one off a vk 6cyl im pretty sure

its easy, just go to the wreckers. rip the whole steeling setup off an ol' dead one and bang it on your car.

would take maximum 8hrs not including driving to and from wreckers/bottleshop.
