    Default 4 & 6 Cyl Torque Converters in a V8

Just wondering if anyone has put a 4 or 6 cyl stall in a V8 Trimatic and what sort of revs you got. Also how long did it last if you didn't modify it and if you did, what did you do?

we used to run the 202 torque converter in 308 years ago its the cheap high stall been so long i couldnt even tell you the stall rpm but it did work well the worst part is the 6 cylinder bearing in the torque converter gives out in the end if you drive hard.some people used to get the V8 bearing installed .nowdays with the amount of high stalls on the market it is easier to just buy one nowdays instead of having it opened up to install the better bearing
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

It just so happens we bought a 2700-3000rpm stall converter 2day. If anyone is interested in a 2200rpm stall converter, let me know coz my mate who I bought ours off of has a 2200rpm one for sale as well for $250 ono...to suit V8 trimatic.

Also....the gemini converters are another common one to use. Being for a small motor, I guess it would provide a higher stall in a bigger motor.

I'll let you know, I'm not real big on second hand converters, I've got a few lying around between me and mates and was going to see how long the bearing lasts, if it goes, I'll just put the V8 one back in. I'd rather spend good money on a higher stall when the next engine goes in. I was more wondering if anyone got a decent time out of a 6 cyl one before it blew the bearing into space.
