hi
what are the widest rims allowed on a vk in nsw. i want to make a brock replica as shown below.
this is not my pic. i stole it from another of my threads
thanks
Mate.
Have you checked the RTA website?
not yet. thought id try here before looking through the F***loads of unnecessary s*** on there
Let me google that for you
first result:
The biggest/widest standard wheels on the VK were 15x6 inches i believe? therefore legally the widest wheel you can fit without getting it engineered is 7 inch. The above document states that if your vehicle is post-1973 built and weighs more then 1201Kg then the maximum width you can get engineered is 51mm wider then standard, so 8 inch.Originally Posted by http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi09_rev4.pdf
There are also Wheeltrack/offset limits which are rather conservative (25mm).

8 inches wider that origional, or 8 inches -??
There is no such thing as stupid questions, Only stupid people.
so all in all, what is the maximum width i can have. i dont care if it has to be engineered as its not reg yet. im gonna do all my mods then just get one engineering slip
I managed to get a 10 inch wide tyre under my vh after a little work. It is engineered for NSW road reg.
yer. if you look in the pic as well the wheel flares will help a sh*tload when it comes to wide rims
