hey
has anyone ever put a newer commodore dash or similar into an older commodore??
thanks
ive seen it done but nevver done it myself
ok..
thanks
what did u start another thread with the same question? lol
first was can you do it. hen this is has anyone done it. cause i want to know how they did it
found it yet jonno??
this isnt what i was talking bout but heres one..
here
i cant find the one that was finished but ill keep looking
there's several dash conversions on the Street Commodores forum.
Seen a lot of VR/VS dashes into VB-VL and also some VT-VZ.
The dash has to be narrowed, all the pics I've seen they've always cut off the sides of the dash to fit
i can't register on SC forum with my gmail account, can you please put up some pics?
thanks
hey, dad owns his business and i just made hima yahoo one and mums is so secure its not funny, thanks for the pics jonno, it looks good but sorta out of place at the same time, did someone say something about a VZ one, got any pics?
and also how hard would it be to cut the sides, im thinking ,aybe when i sign up on SM to PM CHU88Y and see how he did it with the WRX one..
thanks
yeh i know i think it would be far too much effort because of the re wiring and cutting shaping extending everything its just a big hassle.
i myself am just going to get vynal paint, spray it all black and get white backgrounds for the gauges off ebayy (:
were on the same page here, i think i might jsut stay as is
wow! i must admit that dash looks pretty kewl. wonder how you go about fitting the air bags![]()
i dont think its worth it really, i might just save for some VHT vinyl dye cause my dash isn't cracked and then go and spend the cash i was going to on the dash, spend it on some autometer gauges in stead
im looking at getting some racing seats but yer, i think VHt vinyl dye is about $15 a can.
SC did a write up on it in their tech section, i had it once but can't find it now
