There is a grey area that Holden has no info, thats late 70s to late 80s.
As for these Papaya edition VHs, i think 150 were built. All were 253/manuals. I don't know why they were built, probably some special dealer decided to make them.

two tone brown/tan SL/X spec trim, same wheels as the Holden Vh SS. Nothing special, just an orange in colour.

well i called holden they pointed out what numbers mean what and same for letters and now i have an owners manual that has it in there i also have a vh owners manual ill check if it has the info on vh's

Won't be in there. These cars were done at dealers. Only VIN numbers(which BTW, VB-VKs don't really have) will be the same as VH SL/X 253/manuals.

if it really is Papayahey guys any vh commodore gurus out there that have any info about vh papayas cause i chatted with the peps at holden and they told me unfortunatly no records b4 1989 as i own one and love it to bits but dont know any thing about it other than orange 253 4sp would like how many build what other features they came out with
it will be this colour...
check the vehicles body tags and get the paint code of them...
and tell us..then we can check. I have a list of the VB-VK paint codes
btw....
the other info on the body tags if its really a 253 4 speed
will state
ENG L36 TRANS M20
and there will be a VIN or TAG on the car (not the full 16 digit one used these days)
but a shorter GMH internal use one that will say something like J123456 or L456789

yep its a real 253 manual made in the dandenong VAP
and my paint records show this as a Dulon paint line (acylic enamel)
and its either papaya - 1E020-1..or Sebring Orange
1e020-3 (funny I have all codes from 1971 and no 1e202)
