theres no point just upgrade to vt discs/calipers/master and booster.
it will feel like a different car
yer, but im getting a donor vs for an engine so i was thinking just take them from that
Aren't they pretty much the same brakes as the older Commo's anyways? I know some had larger discs, and some had finned calipers, but they're all pretty much the same hey?
VK Wagz 308 - [Buildup Thread]

Up to VP they had complete disc and bearing assemblies that slip onto a stub axle. Vr onward have seperate bearing hub and discs. The hubs are bolt on assemblies and the discs sit snugly on the hubs.
yeh so youd need adapter hubs
Just put the FE2/V8/VP S2 style brakes on it (inluding the master and booster) and it'll stop like a demon. That'll be the cheapest option, you can also fit the HQ style pad on there with a bit of grind and they are a bigger pad = more stopping again. But yeah they are all pretty much the same, VK's stoped very good when new, so if it's not a general brake fix up maybe in order: )
yer. i want to change them over cause there rear drums =(.. thanks
VN SS Group A = win. 13" rotors and twin spot calipers. You will need 17" wheels although some 16's will fit.
Reaper
im looking at 17" vt clubsport rims so they might be a winner reaper.. thanks
I used vs calipers with vp bigger discs up front! but am going to run vt brakes eventually!
Does any one no if i ran a vt brake setup with vt booster and master cylindar would there be a difference in ratio between the brake pedal and mastercylendar? Also what is involved in a vt brake to pre vl conversion?
thanks....
