Gyday matie.. what is your engine? 3.3? V8?

Good tune up,, ignition set up,, exhaust, headers help. A Easyer way would be speak to a workshop that specailises in performance vehicals and tell them what your needs are and they can point you in the right direction and cost's etc..

Hey mate. I got my VH 202 to a carby place on friday. Mine was running really bad. Black smoke out the back on start up, sluggish take off and no power up hills. He stuck a probe up the exhaust pipe and found it was running really rich. He turned the idle mixture screw three times and it started running like a dream! Today I put some new leads on, new plugs, new oil and fuel filter, new oil and some duralube (thought i'd give it a go). All up cost me $170. 20 for the three turns of a screwdriver and the rest on parts.

Now it runs 100% better. more power all over the place. Might help you out a bit. Worst case it'll be a good starting point for any other mods.

if its a 3.3 blue motor just put extractors on it sports aircleaner and i heard you can put a smaller head on it eg 2.8l blue motor head to up the compression a bit these three are fairly cheap and will give your motor a bit more noticable power
