I'm thinking of getting my car serviced down at Midas but i don't know if their any good
at their job. Gonna get a major service done!
yeh there alright
as long as they do their job properly and don't bodge it should be alright
i regularly get cats fitted at midas richmond. the guy is a bit of a grumpy-bum but he does do really good work.
thats good then i need a fair bit of work done to it most i could do myself but may as well get it all done at once
I took my old car into Midas with a problem, 3 visits and almost $1000 later it was still no better, tried a different mechanic, $30 and half an hour later it was good as gold. I haven't even looked twice at a Midas since
I guess it could depend on which one you go to as well. I don't think I'm meant to bad mouth companies on here so if you want to know which midas it was shoot me a PM

im thinking of going to the 1 in Croydon
I get mine serviced at Midas Bass Hill all the time. Never had an issue and always been really happy with their work. They even did the manual conversion for me on my last car! As with all things though, it really depends on who works there. If the mechanic there is good, you will get a good service. If the mechanic is crap...well.....

You should really steer clear of any of those franchise stores.
I'd suggest putting a post up in your state section recommending a good independent mechanic. If your in SA i can put you onto someone.

Midas well go somewhere else IMO. But i guess it varies form store to store, like most things. I won't go to one, simply due to a bad quote they once gave me. But then again, i've never been happy after anyone has worked on my car. Get a manual, and the bits and pieces that you need, and give what ever it is, a go yourself. That's my advice..
i go to Ace which is right next to midas in croydon, does a great job and alot cheaper than other places.
don't where you live, but the brisbane shops tingalpa and capalaba should look after you
It's A Holden Thing - You Wouldn't Understand
Worked for midas in Mosman sydney for a whole of 2 weeks
I will never ever take my car to one the standard of work was low and bodgy oh and never ask for a brake test, this could be just this store thou
The only way to get a service done properly is to do it yourself. That said, they couldn't be any worse than your local Holden dealer! The last service I had done was on the SS before the waranty ran out, $245 for oil and a filter. The peanuts didn't even bother rotating the tyres which needed doing urgently. They did wipe some black stuff on the side walls of the tyres though!
My Garage:
VZ SS 6ltr 6 speed silver
VN 5ltr 5 speed Gold (Ex NSWPF Highway Patrol)
VH EFI 5ltr Supra 5 speed tiger mica
XC Barina SRI 1.8ltr 5 speed silver
if you want the job done right take it to a mechanic not an exhaust fitter who tries to be a mechanic and forgets to changes filters and cam belts etc etc etc etc (ex midas worker) be there done that seen that made a fuss about it and got the ass for stand up for the vehicle owner .
MIDAS stands for monkeys in disguse as servicemen......
well i was working at glenelg for 3 months and they do a good job but the owner is a ***n cocksucker
ahk cheers, this ACE place u reckon i might giv it a look
do u mean Ace Exhausts?
