Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum but a holden fan forever..
I just purchased a mint condition VC for $1500 see pic
I have a plan
LS2 crate motor
T56
9" diff
big brakes
Brock VC kit or Group C kit
metallic midnight blue.
I do have a couple questions as I have been searching the web without luck
With the LS2 into a VC will I need a front hump sump or a rear hump sump?
The accessories kit for the LS2 from eagle spares you can get commodore or corvette one . Which one? the alternator is in different location.
With the wheel flare kits what have people done to the guards under the flare so the tyre doesn't rub.
I will be putting progress up here as I go and also putting together a website with info so I can help other people out as I learn
If any one is interested I will be selling the 202 and trimatic soon out of the car it only has 89K on it and needs a tune but runs well and the auto is still very smooth
Cheers
Sean
Man thats gonna be freakin sweet when its done. I'd love to do the same to my vc. I think you would need a front hump sump for the ls2 considering the existing engine has front hump sump.
Unfortunately I can't help with the other questions, but please keep us up to date with your progress.
Four commodores and counting.
G'day,
The front sump seems to be the way to go.. The Eaglespares LS2 has a rear sump but the Holdent one has a front sump ( local delivery). looks like eagle import theirs and the other guys bought off holden/HSV. At $5500 they are cheap I can't find them new for that price in the US in US dollars .
I will ring my engineer today push him along...
I found a pic on another forum with a VL with a LS1 and looks like the commodore accessory kit so progress. It was hard to find a pic with an early commodore with a LS1/2
Cheers
