Hi Guys . I can't get the trimatic to pull up flush with the motor . I can get it to the point where it's about 3/4's of an inch away . I'm guessing that the torque converter isn't lined up with the slots inside the trimatic . Can i just turn the motor by hand to line up the slots or do i have to pull the trimatic back and get the splines out of the converter and then turn the motor ? Please help . Thanks !
Cheers Mick .

yeah soz bit slow today. itll have been the torque converter not engaging with the pump gear yeah? my mate actually put longer bolts in thinking that if he tightened it up it would 'pop' in.
it popped his tranny pump drive. lol. all he had to do was turn the torque converter till it engaged the gear...
Just to make it easier in future.....b4 u put the tranny on the motor, stand the tranny vertical (maybe on 2 bits of wood so it sits on the housing and the output shaft is in the middle and not supporting the weight), then sit the torque converter in, spin it around, back and forth and it normally pops in using gravity. Think ya need to hear 3 clicks.
