    Default dip stick

    hey

    ive been looking all over the engine bay in all the usual places and cant seem to find the dip stick (i know its pathetic) where is it do you know (black 202 carbed) and do you have any pics of where it is

    also if i go to the wreckers and get a new one is it hard to fit??

    Passenger side on the engine, near the middle, more towards the front.

    Fit it? You push it in, job done.

    Mate I is between the right hand engine mount and the fuel pump down low.

    i laugh at stuff like this but i have to apologise, cos that primarily what this forum is about huh? helping people.

    anyways, isnt there a bolt on the dipstick? 308's have a 1/2 bolt about halfway down to hold them on.

    thats what i meant.. in a way. incase there was like a housing for the dipstick.

    On the drivers side in front of the engine mount, comes out of the sump.
    Four commodores and counting.

    i found it, it was on the drivers side in the sump.. all the Air conditioning gear was covering it..
