VH commo temp sender question (6)

okay i have a question about the temp sender that is mounted in the engine i know where it is.. does this give me the temp of oil or water? thats all i want to know because i need to get an aftermarket temp guage.. i dont want to buy an oil one when it reads the water..

on my cluster it says its water i think...

It's water temp . The oil one is just for pressure down on the oil pump .

if your talking about the sensor that goes into the head its the water temp.
the oil pressure switch should be in the block.

itll give you a resistance reading, not a water temp...

okay good.. im going to buy an auto meter water guage and oil pressure.. is the oil pressure sender down near the oil pump and filter? its biggish kinda thing

little silver round thing with a brass fitting on the end that your plug clicks onto

yeah bro mines different i have crimped a blue lug into it as i replaced the original one when i first got the car because it didn't work..

so oil pressure sender is near oil pump and filter?
