vk v8 wagon.... leaking fluids problems!! help plz

hey everyone i need some help with my brothers vk... he just rebuilt the motor and got it going now its leaking some kind of fluid... not using oil or power steering but leaking from front of gear box behind engine... and it is using trans fluid... if you's can help me it would be much appreciated....

ummm, leaking trans fluid? is it red? same stuff as power steering fluid. i am guessing that he needs to replace the front seal on the trans. then again there are all sorts of places transmissions can leak from, the vacuum actuator, trans cooling lines, hell even the linkages can leak.

get it up in the air and have a poke round the trans. take the dust cover off so you can see right up behind the torque converter. check all your trans lines. then tell us what you found and we will tell ya' how to fix it
