hey
what things wil be covered when i put in my car for its blue (atleast i think thatch the colour) slip so i can get it registered
thanks
lol, really?
sigh. basically everything safety components-wise. and stuff that will mean you are not going to break down or catch fire and stop traffic.
brakes, tyres, wipers, heater, indicators, headlights, bushes. ball joints, shock absorbers, bearings, brake hoses, discs, pads, master cynlinder, pedals, exhaust, tail shaft, transmission, leaks, windscreen, seat condition, seat belt condition, weather strips, body panels (rust)
um, thats all i can think of atm
i was told some rust is fine as long as it is not structural but how much is some??
remove or hide the rust.. if u cant see it.. well...
no rust is fine. if they see it, you dont get a RWC. buy a tube of sika-flex and a can of export matt black spray paint. sikaflex the holes and spray everything matt black to hide it.
job done
l.. thanks.. if its just surface rust if i get some wet and dry sandpaper and sand it off then prime it and leave it would that do, and what sort of primer would i use??
thanks
actually, glovebox lids are covered by their own ADR and if you saw what a dodgie glovebox lid does to a passenger crash test dummy, you would be thankful the boffins at DOTARS are thorough.
pretty much takes the top half of the dummy off the bottom half. imagine if that was your girlfriend/wife...
what about a loose centre console.. and i will go to scotts soon and get that gear when i have someone over 18 with me, they wouldnt even sell me vinyl dye cause im 15
3 screws hold the center console in im sure, easy to replace go to a hardware store.
yeah the screws tend to crack the plastic base, under the carpet in the little flap thingsie-where-you-put-your-beer-oops-i-mean-coke
just get some big panel washers if thats the case. about the size of a 50 cent coin, but round. the handbrake tends to hold tat console quite steady tho, so you only need one good screw in the back (giggity)
ok.. thanks..
