getting a 140a alternator today so i wanna put in some thermo fans anyone have suggestions on what size and or what cars i can get some off or where i can get some cheap all help is appreciated
I picked up a set of brand new mondeo style fans off ebay, came with relays, fuses and all wiring required.
I have used a single 16" davies craig thermo with their controller unit, worked great on my 5.0L with our supercharger fitted on her, never went over 1/4 on the gauge.
Or
VT or AU (FORD) twin thermo's from wreckers??
Cheers

Twin 12" offset.
what about vt do they bolt on or clip on or do i have to modify them
Start using the search function on the forum, it's all there.![]()
craig davies make two great fans which are 16 inch and you offset them so the whole radiator is covered, then you can ditch your shroud.
mine are currently set up-stream, which is on the engine side of the radiator and sucking the air through, but they recommend you set them down-stream and blowing. they are pretty expensive though.
well im picking up a set of el twin thermo's today who knows how to mount them apparently i cant use the pull through radiator clips (like zip ties)
el are too big for VK. The fans hang over the edge of the radiator and you end up pulling air through the sides instead of through the radiator.
are you sure ? ill check it out

hey, dont forget that your radiator sits in a channel (radiator support) so it will hit the fan when you try and put the rad back in.
dummy fit the fans while the rad is in the car to make sure, but yeah bigger is better IMO as long as it seals up ok.
yeh but there to big i tryd them in the engine bay with all the trans and rad lines hooked up and they dont even fit would they fit if i seperated them and put them diagonally? coz im heading in the direction where if they both dont go in only one is going in and i dunno if thats enough to cool it please someone respond soon
