    Default VB SLE 310 pack

    I have been trying to get some information the VB 310 pack.

    Can any one please offer some assistance in this.

    i have a VB SL/E 308 engine, elec windows, velour int, driving lights, 9inch diff, white in colour, and the pin stripe stickers are different to what i have seen on others,

    Can anyone please help with confirming this.

    OK VB SLE 310 pack is a rare light weight SLE, uses base model body. The 9 inch diff isn't standard, the stickers well you need to post a pic. All 310 packs have velour interior( in any colour), elec windows, cent lock, 308 motor Auto standard(Manual opition). Avaliable in any exterior colour at the time.
    Usually the looks the same as a normal VB SL/E but the compliance plates states a 310 pack

    Here are the 310 production options
    L31 - 5L High COmpression
    M41 - M41 - Turbo 400 & 350
    AU3 - Central Locking
    G80 - LSD
    N10 - Duel Exhaust
    U80 - Rear Seat SPeaker
    A31 - Power Windows
    8VX - SL/E Option & Badging

    now about the m21 and turbo 400 the vb did not come with either and i know this cause my uncle has worked for holden since they released the VB.
    P.S m21 comes form a torana and a turbo 400 is a chev gaerbox i.e monaro with chvy motors both way older than the vb itself

    Hi,
    I was only going off my factory options chart I have from Holden. Which personally I feel is accurate.
    The M21 and M20 for that matter was also Used in HQ-HZ series as well, Along with the TH400

    hey i have a M21 factory fitted VB SL/E 308 commodore, even the compliance plates says M21. I have also spoken to a few about this, even Smitty on this forum.

    Turbo 400's were used in V8 Commodores up to VH where they were replaced with the Trimatic (or Traumatic if you like)*

    I used to own a VC SLE 310 pack and the only option i could find were headlight windscreen wipers and the hdt lion emblem on the dash cluster apart from that it had a 308 th400 and a salsbury diff 3.08 gearing went well lit them up nicely it was two tone gold top camel lower

    ^^ What you had is a 336 pack VC SL/E. The 310 pack is VB SL/E only. Also, the colour combo you had is very rare in the VC SL/E spec.

    Mine was Red with red interior, the carpets were nearly shag pile. Mine had the Turbo 400 behind the 5 litre, factory fitted. How do I know it was a turbo 400 i serviced the thing enough. It also had window, locking. Damn it was a comfortable and great car.

    You better go and have a look at your holden history VB, Hz's were built until 1980, as were VB and VC Commodores as well as Torana's. WB 's were built from 1980 until 1984, along with VC, VH and VK Commodores. The cars all shared lots of mechanical bits including engine and transmissions of which the Turbo 350's and 400's were amoungst them, go and have a look. Brock was racing the A9X in the touring car championship in 79 but drove a 202 Commodore to win the Repco around Australia trial.

    l have a VB 310 pack and it was stamped 12/78, did you say they were still making HZ holdens and toranas then too?
