    Default Black mtr Vs Blue

    Whenever I go to buy parts for my black 3.3 I am always asked whether it's a black or blue engine,even though everything seems to be the same.Does anybody know what the main difference is if any?
    Also is it ok to run a flashlube system on these engines using LPG/unleaded without having hardened (stock) valve seats?

    Don't stress mate, a lot of parts shops ask questions like that even if it doesn't relate to wat ur after, it's just the way their computers are. I know someone that wanted an air filter for their car, and they were asked if it was auto or manual lol.

    difference is the colour..yep dont stress as danny said.. bit like going to repco and the sales git asking for the chassi number when all you asking for is spark plug size...........no difference... blue black motor-12 port head,different gaskets ) red motor -9 port head....the oil pump/ side cover/water pump,thermostat,s rocker cover gaskets etc are the same on all both red and later engines..different head gasket..

    tell them to put int the computer you painted it lime green and it'll sh!t a chicken

    lol, paint it orange and tell them it was made by chev. but its compatable
