hey
i got some amps for 50$ from JB HIFI (were $180) and i want to install them in my vk (sedan) but i want to put them under a fake floor in the boot..
how would i do this
hey mate, have a search around on this site a few ppl have done them. but generally you just pull out your boot carpet, measure that on to some mdf for the top of the fake floor, you may have to have some cuts in it or in parts to fit it in, and dont forget to put a 'lid' in it to access the amps etc.
then just get some 4x2 or whatever you got lying around, and use that to raise up the top of the false floor from your normal floor.
Thats a pretty easy way of doing it.
Cheers.
wouldnt that be bad for the amps? no air flow and heat entrapment?
I used cardboard to make the template, then bits of scrap wood to raise it off the floor. Pretty easy really
