Gurus,
The time has come for my VT brake upgrade for th front of my 83 VH. I have a 10 bold salisbury with shiny new slotted rotors for the back and for the front, an equally shiny new slotted pair (thanks to GSL Rallysport!!), adapter hubs, bearings and VT calipers. Pads still on the way.
Problem 1:
I also have a VT SS master cylinder and booster. I've had a look on the net and here and found conflicting discussions on being able to fit the booster relativly straight forwardly and others saying I have to manufacture a new bracket to mate the booster to the firewall and repositioning the linkages for the pedal. I don't have the skills to make another bracket and, as far as I can tell, you can't buy them. I've also seen that a VS booster will negate the need to make a bracket and will fit and perform nicely. Is this true?
Should I ditch the VT booster in favor of a VS one or have I been reading crap. Is there an easier way?
Problem 2:
I bought the master cylinder 2nd hand from a guy and I think he's messed around with it a bit. See pic below. Basically I understand that the break fail switch needs to be inbetween the front and rear lines so could someone please confirm for me that the blank in the pic has been moved to one of the front wheel lines and should be all the way at the front.
Thanks in advance gurus. If you're willing to help me out can you please be specific with your descriptions. Saying that "I did this on my VK" makes me nervous unless you say "i did this on my VK and your VH will be the same" I'm a bit funny that way.
Lewie.
PS, the diff and rotor pic are for shits and gigs. I can't wait to try 'em out!

why not just use the vh booster with a 1 inch master thats what i running on my vh with vt upgrade .
My VH booster looks pretty ratty. the paint has come off it and there is a fair bit of surface rust on it now. I'd like to replace it. If I got another VH booster could I run the SS (1 1/4in) cylinder with it? Or would I have to change master cylinders to a 1in one?
I've heard that running the VT gear gives a really good performance when you need to hit the anchors which is why I went for that option.
If the setup you are suggesting will work just as well, feel free to correct me.

worked great for me on the road and the track would recommend the std booster with the 1 inch master any day . ultimate pads slotted rotors and air cooling to front disc's braided brake lines ....
Picked up a VS booster today. All set for tomorrow attach on the front end stoppers!
Also, anyone know if the VT brake lines are long enough to go on the VH as part of this conversion?
