wireing a sterioo for vk.

hi guys

ive got a whole new sound system for my VK sl like 2 speakers in the pacle shelf and
one in either front door,.

ive got the head unit in and the wires attached..
i was just hopeing you guys could tell me where to wire the power cord to..
and where and hw i should run the speaker wire to the speakres.. cos im completely clueless
and i dont really want to pull out the whole dash and interior..

any adive is appriciated thankyou.

Find the original power loom for the stock unit.
There should be a 8~10 socket plug that powered the original unit.

You will need..
Red -Ignition/Acc power
Orange - Constant 12v (for clock/memory)
Black - Earth/Ground

Been a while since I did mine, so best google the colouring as IIRC, the constant may be yellow on the factory loom.

Invest in a $3 test lamp to double check.
Make sure ALL your wiring is insulated - heatshrink>terminal blocks>electrical tape.

Rears - run your spkr cables under the scuff panels ( the black strips )
Fronts - drilling from pillars and doors is a PITA- use grommets and a sharp drill - pilot 1st.

Just a guide to get your brain on track.
