Advice on VH SLE Wagon

Hey i need advice on my VH SLE Wagon. i want to put VK bumpers on the VH. i need details on if and how i can do it. Cheers

Personally, I wouldn't mod such a rare car. Leave it as it is with the VH bumpers. All i'd do is use clear VK indicators.

Got any pics of yours? theres a guy on another forum who has 2 of them (VCs), lucky guy.


Edit: and i just want to make sure its clear, i'm not saying this car is a genuine SL/E wagon, since i only know for sure of VC SL/E Wagons (less than 30)

Yep totally agree. My view is that the VH was the best looking Commodore built, the last fo the chrome bumbers - a true classic.

I'm very sure I've seen a two tone sle? wagon with roofracks at one stage in my life. So I wouldn't bet against it

I agree with the others, of course it's your own choice - but I reckon you'd be doing your VH an injustice fitting VK bumpers. Apart from spoiling the appearance, VK & VL bumper plastic was terrible quality.

but in answer to your question, they fit straight on. VH & VK shared the same guards and rear lower quarter

i was thinking of putting the vk bumpers on my car.. but then i was like nah because i wouldnt have that nice looking chrome bumpers..

the chrome bumpers are really strong i have hit a power pole hard, concrete post in car park, a toyota corola and concrete wall at work haha.. i just bounce strait off it and no damage just a scuff mark.

I was referring to VH SLE wagons, as that's wat Blown-VH said he had. I've read a few threads on a few forums about people thinking they had one, and the people who know their commodores have always said there was no VH SLE wagons.....there maybe VB/VC sle wagons, but not VH. SLX's have the same chrome mouldings as the SLE's, so thats prolly wat u saw at pick a part.

But ya can't believe everything ya read so I may well be wrong lol.

I was talking to my brother about this just before, he said his mates all factory wagon 253 4 speed was a sle. All I can remember about the car was that is was a Red 253 so that would make it a VB

The VC SLE wagons were only avaliable with the 253, so that fits. Not sure about the colours tho.

I just hate misinformation. It was obvious you had no clue there were SLE wagons, otherwise you would have said 'there arn't VH SLE wagons', thats why you backtracked later.

I honestly didn't think there was VH SLE wagons. I've never read up on any other model, only the VH....ever since a year or 2 ago when someone said they had one, but a few people said there was never any (VH SLE WAGONS)...and yeah after doing a bit of research (only on forums) it seems there was never any VH SLE WAGONS....unless all those people were wrong....which does happen.

I'm not afraid to learn, otherwise I wouldn't be on here.
