2 & a half months of holidays. what can i do to my vk..
i got 2 and a half months off and i want to do something to my car.
im getting the dash and the door trim all painted.
and i want to get something to deliver more cold air to the airbox so im working on that.. not sure how but i am going to.
and i want to do something to my redback exhaustttttttt to make it s|-|!t loads louder.
what else can i do!!??

lol i dont understand but the hotdog is at the back the muffler is in front of the rear wheels.
im thinking of ditching the muffler keep the hotdog and get a dump pipe yes?

Yeah thats what I ment. Wasn't sure what setup you had. If I were you I would work my ass of, Save about a grand then go on a bit of a spending spree. Are you affected by the p plate power laws?got a hot dog AND a muffler?

the problem is that you could have all the time in the world, and still not achieve anything. you will need money/tools/knowledge.
cleaning is about all you will get done for free. scrub the bugger through and through. take off bits and clean behind them, every square inch. that will take you about 3 days. cleaning up the engine bay will take a good day, maybe two.
then... well... how much money you got?
edit*pllllllease please please dont be one of those p' platers that think loud exhausts are kewl on 6 cylinders. they are not, they sound terrible to every other road user. leave it be.

Get your self a job to pay for quality improvements and don't do anything half arsed otherwise you will pay in the end.
You really need to have a plan of what this car ultimately is going to be and work towards this goal.

EASY $30 DIY Cold Air Induction! why not replace the gearbox with a manual (or a better one if it is) or change the diff to get a better ratio? or the rubber brushes all throughout your car.

how would i change the diff? (ima nooooooob)
first you would need to get a diff (obviously) then get under the back of the car look at where your car is connected to the diff loosen the bolts on the car end (do not remove) jack up car take off wheels undo brakes (there is a hard line from the front of your car to the part that holds on your brake callipers and your handbrake cable) remove all bolts holding diff in place (the ones you have loosened and the ones holding your diff and tailshaft togetther not the ones on the cap for your diff) remove diff (might require 2 people ) replace in reverse order then bleed your brakes there should be a how-to in the how to section. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PUT YOUR SUSPENSION SPRINGS IN UPSIDE DOWN

not that difficult. its more of a matter of getting under and getting it done. ask your old man if he will help you. otherwise there is the option of giving it a service (you would be suprised how well it makes your car run). change as many oils and filters as possible basically. replace your spark plugs and leads with "performance" ones available at any auto shop. change your air filter with a pod style one and put extractors on. when you do a car up the first thing you should do is that so your motor can breath easier. and work your way in from the outside when you have more experience built up/ hope this helps mate

mine came with extractors and a redbak exhaust i wouldnt use a pod cos they suck in hot air too.
ill just get a new k&n pannel filter
and im gonna get a 4 spd maual ill get the numbers off the spark plugs and get some and ill get some leads, any u recomend?
