    Default VH Temperature issue...

    O.K here's the situation.
My temp gauge needle on the VH V8 keeps going OVER the red mark no matter what.
At first I though it was an overheating issue so we changed the water pump then thermostat...no difference. Then replaced clutch fan assembly...nothing. Then we reconditioned the radiator....still rises to red after a few minutes.
We've done pressure tests where applicable and everything is as it should be.
I then changed the temp sender and again....still the same.
    WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE!!!

Do the VH temp senders screw into an adapter or gauge at all?

    Please,please....I need some help here...

The sender has been replaced with a brand new item but still the problem occurs.
Can the actual wire that connects to the sender be the reason?
Perhaps it's something to do with the gauge in the cluster?

ok i wrote this long crap about head gaskets, but i notcied you said the pressure test came out ok, so screw that. your dash must be faulty if you have done everything you said you did. (reco rad) i would have gone for blocked rad first then blown head gasket.

the sender wire is an earth. so if you disconnect the wire from your temp switch and earth it, it should say either over hot or over cold, i cant remember which one. why not try that. take the wire off and get someone to watch the temp guage while you hold it on earth?if it does squat, then you have narrowed down your search. just gotta look for an earth leak which is harde than anything in the world.

    but... GOOD LUCK
