Does anyone know the correct length of the radius rods on a vk. My wheels look like there sitting to far back and cant see nothing wrong with the chassis/suspension.
depends on a lot of things. take it to a wheel aligner and ask him to sort you castor out.
it's very unlikely that the radius rods would be the wrong length. Just check they aren't bent and the bushes are in good condition. Often the radius rods bend if the front end cops abig hit over a pot hole, gutter etc.
Also check the K-frame - it may also be damaged/bent
radius rods will straighten over time and need to be replaced.
I bought whiteline ones that can be shimmed and I am running as much caster as a VR commodore the car steers much better after this.
see pic
cheers
Scott

Commodore caster is adjusted by offsetting the strut top plate, so adjusting caster in the usual manner won't change the position of the wheel in relation to the gaurd. It simply changes the angle between the strut top and the ball joint. The wheel location is fixed by the ball joint. Only way that would change is if either the lower control arm is bent/bush completely flogged out, radius rod is bent, or k-frame is completely out of alignment and/or damaged.
