Gday folks, I've got a mongrel of a VH wagon (it was a 6 cyl manual, now it's a 308 & trimatic), I've changed the disc brake rear to a 2.60 as it's an everyday driver. The 308 has Yella Terras, rollers, big Pacemakers, and an MSD so it gets a hiding reasonably regularly.
My question is: will the set of Rostyles off my HQ panelvan safely go on the VH??
I've had a couple of people say that I can't put Commy wheels on an HQ but the other way might be alright. Can anyone either confirm or deny this?
Cheers
Can't do it
As green fome said...i'm pretty sure the reason is the center off sets are diffferent... try later model commdore wheels can be source from wrecker,s resonbly cheap...These on my VK are later SS wheels cost me stuff all and they 16inch( also running 2.60 rear )

Floor it and swerve driving skool
its more than that, HQ's had the chevy stud pattern and commodores have a retarded pattern that only fit commodores and volvos. cant remember the exact numbers think it was something like 5x110 or some dumb crap like that.
from memory porsche rims fit too but i cant confirm that.
5X120 for Commodores and BMWs(certain models) but on HQs, i think its 5X120.5. Its not a good idea for HQ-HZ rims onto Commodore, breaks the wheel studs.

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
unless you change the stud pattern
HQ imperial stud pattern and no centre bore location incorrect offset for commodore .
Commodore metric stud pattern smaller centre bore diameter load is taken by the studs alone and will break in time .
wheels are not compatible and not legal when insurance gets involved and they may withdraw your insurance or worse in the case of accident not cover you and not pay out .
