Just buy some cheap acrylic from a auto paint store a cat 1 colour will only cost ya $200 for 4 litres
i spose cause its looks like there a sh*t car or sumthin yeah???
hey man the enamel is ok but if you want to ever re-spray later you will have some problems but at least it will come out with a good shine
cheers mate. thats the answer ive been looking for. lol. thanks again. Matt
be sure to post pics of the finished product,
also what problems will occur using enamel??

You can't paint acyrlic over the top of enamel, it's a total TOTAL disaster. So if you go with a cheap enamel respray that's it, there's no going back without really a bare metal strip back. You spray acrylic onto enamel and it looks like you sprayed it with paint stripper. But you can put enamel over acrylic no problem (go figure)
Can you put new enamel over old enamel?
Four commodores and counting.
For the little bit extra $$ acrylic is a better option
okay whats the right paint to use? im a little confused. say i was to do a job that a panel beater would do. what paint do they use? acrylic enamel? what?
okay whats the step down from 2pac? i just need to know what paint i can use to paint my car. so it will be easy and look alright?
Acrylic paint.
Basically, theres the expensive paints like pearl, then you have 2pac, Then acrylic. If you want the paint looking good, I suggest you go with a 2pac, if you want it looking pretty decent but not as strong/good as 2pac, then go for acrylic. I dont have experience but I have heard that acrylic is way easier to spray than other paints too, and you can have it looking nice IF you do a shitload of polishing.
Cheers
I hear what your saying but lets take some other things into account
Any 2pac or 2 part product have isocyantes in them, meaning they can KILL you!!!!

Dont read any further until you understand what i have just said
The cost of materials that you want to use may vary in price, lets look at the other costs involved.
Masking Tape -Sand Paper -Thinners or Reducer -Masking paper -Prepsol - Tack rags
Clear Coat if your using a metallic or base coat system and the big one
A DECENT RESPIRATOR MASK & EYE GOGGLES
(Overspray can enter through the eyes and into the body)
If you prepare the car many smaller panel shops will blow the car over for you at a resonably cheap price,if you hell bent on doing it yourself use Acrylic
Its the least dangerous of many ,many options
Just remember your health is more impotant than saving money or a paint job
