vl radiator into vk

just wondering if a VL V8 radiator will fit into a VK. the cores have the same dimensions apart from the vl being 2mm higher. i want to put a set of au themos in cause the car is starting to overheat in the summer. but the bottom outlet on the VK radiator is too high.

I just had a vn v8 radiater modified to fit a vk by getting the bottom out moved up a few inchs. the rad shop did if for me. The only problem is they had to remove the trans cooler from the rad, it was in the way.

best thing anyway when those trans coolers go they cost alot more than a $150 external mount they cost a trans rebuild and cooling system flush

The bottom hose is too low. You have to modify the radiator or cut a piece out of the body that supports the bottom of the radiator.
