Autometer Tacho into VK Calais

Apologises if there is a pacific thread for this but i thought i found one..

I have VK Calais with digital dash

Thread was for a Aftermarket Tacho in a VH stated that the Tacho needed signal to negative on the spark coil & all the tacho then needed was power and a ground this correct?

yah mate thats correct and also a live wire for the tacho light which is the white wire , OH and just remember the bigger the tacho the more horse power you will gain at the rear wheels . . .i hope its a 5 inch monster tacho

i'd personally make my own tacho, get a table top (preferably over 50" in diameter) and a needle.

Are you putting inplace of an old one (in the instrument cluster next to the speedo) or on the dash?
