oil guage needs a pressure sender to be fitted the engine instead of the oil pressure switch.

do you know any places around VIC that could do this conversion for me? or should i do it myself and just get an auto-elec to wire it up for me? cheers

It's easy. I pretty sure the oil sender is the only thing you have to do. Unbolt the old oil switch and replace with the guage sender. It uses the same wire. I'm pretty sure the volt wire is already in the loom. So all you do is plug the dash in and hook up the speedo.

VC Lplater: They change the value of some of the electronic components inside the tacho. Hunt down an instrument fitter in WA and see if thay can help.

It's on the engine. It's on the oil pump in a V8 or the drivers side of the straight six block

The oil pressure sender needs a different wire as it uses an extra connection on the back of the cluster. Or it did on mine at least. You could pick the idiot light wire out of the loom or just run a new wire like I did. I also had to run a wire for the tacho because there wasn't one in the loom.
