Hey peoples,
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the use of Ethanol (E10) fuel in a 202 VH Blue motor. I run it on premium at the moment but I have the E10 fuel available now but don't know too much about it. My VT likes it and that's about all I know.
Also, last time I heard ethanol is what fuel companys use to "cut" the fuel and I was reading on the pump the other day how it's better for the environment and cleans your engine etc. What octane is it???
Thanks.

BP, Shell and Caltex all advertise their E10 as 91ron, the same as regular unleaded. United have 94 and 98ron E10 available. Ethanol has a lower spacific gravity than straight unleaded, as such a richer fuel mix needs to be used. If your 202 runs ok on unleaded it should run ok on E10 too. To gain the maximum performance from this fuel you will need to rejet your carb to suit.

check your fuel lines tho, has a habbit of turning rubber lines soft and is'nt the best if it's going to be sitting in the fuel system without much use, being made from sugar cain it can be fairly carosive. you wont have as many problems with the E10 as you will with E85 but i'v been told its not the best for carby engines for constant use.
BAD COP!! NO DONUT!!
