Help with vh sle dash into vh sl

Hi Guys,

I have read over and over about the vh sle dash conversion but I cannot seem to get the tacho working, is there any way I can test the tacho? I have wired it up directly to the coil but still cannot get it to work, which is the correct plug on the back of the cluster?the single one on the right of the tacho (when looking at it from behind) or on the left there are two pins next toeach other, not sure what theseare for.

sorry for the stupid questions but I havent donethis typeof thing before and have searched and searched for the answer.

What side of the coil did you wire it to?

to the negative.

I have read and re- read the instructions, I am thinking it must be a faulty tacho.
