Hi just interested to see what you would value my Vk commodore at.
Its a 1984-85 commodore Carby 6 cylinder
only done 136,000 kms on the odometer
straight body, been stored in a garage almost entire life.
Was owned by two elderly couple before i aquired it. Has log books and service history.
goes well only needs a tune up on the motor and a bit of time spent cleaning it up.
trying to work out my options as to what to do with it at the moment.
by the way, i will try add some photos in the next couple of days.
it realy depends on the shell mate.
its only a executive so its nothing like a Calais is it.
my mate wanted 10 grand for his vk Calais with no motor or box but because we were mates i only
paid $4500 grand for it about 6 months ago with no motor or box,
but my Calais has perfect interior and has been custom painted not long ago.
but the big thing is i know my vk Calais has no rust because i know the car and seen it get painted.
so your car is a 6. that's not going to help the price.
vk executive. that's not going to help the price
but if it has no rust and the panels are realy strait, that will help the price
with no rust at all and it is mint with the 6 banger. = $3000 - $6000 maybe more if realy mint
still mint with no rust and swap it over to a 308 man = $6000 - $11000 maybe more if realy mint
but if its not mint and has rust with the 6 banger = $500 - $2500 maybe
not mint and has rust with 308 man = $2500 - $4000 maybe
but realy mate if i came around to look at a vk and i found any rust it would be cya later.
so its up to you mate. don't get the (my car is the best) syndrome lol
take a good look at whats wrong with it ? and say well i need to fix/replace or adjust the price accordingly.
but on the other hand if it is showroom condition (i don't think it would be) but if it is, well then shit lol then its up to you how much you want lol
im going to wait for pics...
Rust isn't necessarily the end of the world you know. And as time goes on and the early girls get even rarer even the rusty ones will start fetching more and more.
Four commodores and counting.
it depends how original it is. in the valuation of classic vehicles, originality will far outweigh any mods you wish to put on. you see, it is real easy to find new wheels, new stereo, ne engine, but factory options are getting really, really hard to find. if there is no rust, fresh interior, no mechanical problems, fresh paint, i personally could pay 4-6 grand.....if i had the money.....
2500-3000 if it's in good condition
i just paid $600 for a vk calais 6 cylinder injection has 1 small dent no rust country car 2 owners interior was all there but a little untidy could have cleaned up well but have stripped it all out to renew and repaint , put battery in it and started first go, i was lucky
id be guessing above 2k, if in good order...
