gotta cut hole in bonnet of my 355 vk can anyone help me out with position exactly where centre of aircleaner would be as havent yet got motor in car???
1. turn bonnet upside down
2. look at ribs
3. cut out the circle in the center of the ribs
4. look at the end result, throw up then go to the wreckers for a new bonnet.
edit* ill explain. my aircleaner sits directly in the middle of the circle in the underside ribs of the bonnet. i know cos i put a piece of allthread to hold the cleaner which was way too long and dented the bonnect perflectly in the middle. the reason i say "throw up" is that holes in the bonnet look horrible. why do you have to do it?
sweet and how much bigger than the air cleaner do i make the hole? 3/4", 1" etc....?? Gotta do it cos Aircleaner ive got wont fit under the bonnet.
why not just get a recessed base cleaner? i had my 750 vac holley, 2 inch spacer and edelbrock performer fit snugly under my bonnet with no holes. with a 3 inch filter!
i cant tell you how big to cut it cos' i dont think you should...
