    Default Ground Car Radio

I have just brought a new car radio
just cant figure out where to ground the damn thing when i pulled the old one out it was grounded to itself meaning the black grounding wire was connected to the radio at both ends and i cant seem to find a screw within close enough distance for the wire to reach

Any ideas where i can ground it

    Its a VK

Just ground it to the metal stereo surround where the HU bolts in. If the wire doesn't reach lengthen it, or drill a new hole.....

I just ground them to the metal surround, seems to work for me.

im pretty sure that your cage in a vk wont be earthed because it gets mounted straight into plastic and unless you can find a way to drill a hole upwards in the tiny gap theres no metal to metal contact. Could be Wrong

if it doesnt turn on with the aerial connected then you should be looking at the 'constant' and 'on' wires. sound to me like it isnt being positive
